Hockenheim-ring GERMANY 18th August 2019: After rain comes sunshine, it’s Sunday meaning Race day at the ‘Rico Anthes Quartermile’ Track! The day started with the first elimination round of the Super pro ET class and it didn’t take long for the first oil down and the track crew was back in action to clean it up, prep it and it was race time again.
Anita ‘The Queen of Top Fuel’ Mäkelä with a fabulous three second runs during the whole elimination! The driver from Finland won with 3.999 second run at 475 km/hrs in the final against Maja Udtian who gave everything she got and crossed the finish line in 4.027 second.
Jndia Erbacher and Mickey Kagered were the first pair into the first elimination round. Both with some issue along the way, but in the end Jndia takes the win a 4.212 second run against a 4.743 for Micke. In the second round Anita was just too quick for her and its Anita who goes to the final.
Rookie driver Maja also was beaten the competition and beats team mate Liam Jones with a 3.945 second run against Liam (4.707 second). Team worked very hard to assemble a new engine for the last race and she left the tree first but was not quick enough for Anita Mäkelä

Habermann victory in Top Methanol! Timo Habermann takes the win with a stunning 5.406 second at 426 km/hr! Timo met his Brother Dennis Habermann already in the first elimination round. This was a side by side race. Timo (5.412) was faster on the tree and beat his brother Dennis (5.418) by 0.006 of a second! Current leader in the championship Sandro Bellio (5.663 at 411 km/hr) was no match for Timo (5.449 at 424 km/hr) in the second round. On the other side of the ladder, Jurgen Nigel take out Top qualifier Jonny Lagg in the first elimination round and went straight into the final due to a bye run (on-even participants). Jurgen red lit and makes it very easy for Timo which wins the race with a 5.406 at 426 km/hr!

In Pro Modified it is “The Man with an ambition goal” Jimmy Ålund who takes the win! Jimmy (5.962 at 385 km/hr) takes out Ingo Ekert (7.958 at 205 km/hr) in the first elimination round. Got a easy win (5.914 at 388 km/hr) from Peter Kunc as he red lit and had also an easy win in the semi final against David Vegter. The driver from Holland couldn’t make it to the starting line due to some trouble with the engine (traces of metal in the oil). In the final race Jimmy meets top qualifier Jan Ericsson, which gives it away by red lit and Jimmy wins with a 5.957 at 361 km/hr.

Jimmy Ålund pulled a double header by also winning Pro stock! Jimmy have one mission and that is being a champion in both Pro Modified and Pro stock. As a current leader in pro stock he might have a shot this year! Jimmy (6.659 at 334 km/hr) beats Simon Gustafson (6.789 at 327 km/hr) in the first elimination run and went straight into the final due to a bye run in the second elimination round (On-even participant). In the Final race Jimmy met last year NOX winner Robin Norén in a close race, but Robin (6.651 at 335 km/hr) was no match for Jimmy’s Chevrolet camaro (6.735 at 329 km/hr)

Top qualifier René Kloss wins for the consecutive time (here at Nitrolympx) in Super Gas. After starting the elimination with a break out (9.898 second) against Jan Zimmerman (who breaks out even more with a 9.769 second run), he manage to stay in the competition until the end. René met Oscar Scappocin (9.932 second) in the final and won with a stunning 9.905 second run at 234 km/hr.

Steven Venables takes the win in Super Street Bike! Steven (7.057 second) won from Mark Hope (who struggled along the track) in the first elimination and from Daniel Donat Lecses in the second round ( who also struggled and couldn’t gain speed). Steven met Garry bowe in the final, but also Bowe struggled along the track and saw Steven get away from him with a 7.138 second run at 338 km/hr.

Top Fuel bike is won by Pilippos ‘Fast Phil’ Papafiilipou on the Puma Yamaha powered by Gulf Oil! With a 6.1 runs during whole elimination, Pil met Rikard Gustafsson in a side by side final race. Pilippos won the race with a 6.210 second at 366 km/hr against Rikard lost the race with a 6.526 at 354 km/hr.

Another successful weekend held at the Hockenheim-ring in Germany. We from The Chronicles of boost want to congratulate all ‘NitrOlympX’ winners. To the rest of the racers; keep a positive mindset, every journey is a learning, come back next time and beat the competition! Teams have nearly no time to prep as next FIA round will be within a couple of days’ time at Tierp Arena Sweden.
