Hockenheim-ring GERMANY 16th August 2019: it’s August, meaning the FIA/FIM Drag Race season is half way and its time for the 4th round at the ‘Rico Anthes Quatermile’ track. After racing at the brand new track at Kahuava Finland, the teams have found their way to Hockenheim to get as much points as possible to maintain or turn the point standings in their favour.
The 34th edition of the Nitrolympx has started with Anita “The Queen of Top Fuel” Mäkelä booking a straight 3.879 second pass at 504 Km/hrs to claim the first place. Qualifying round two was the battle between Second in the championship Maja Udtian and Leader Anita. Maja ran a perfect 3.882 second run at 458 km/hrs, which was exactly Liam Jones time last year and claimed the first place. But it didn’t take long as Anita take the first place by re-seting the time here at Rico Anthes Quartermile with 0. 03 seconds! Third place is for is Liam Jones with a stunning 3.923 second run!

The Reigning champion (Dennis Habermann) is back at the starting line In the Top Methanol class but wasn’t quick enough during the the first two qualifing rounds. Dennis booked a strong 5.383 second run and claim the third place. Top Qualifier is Jonny Lagg with a stunning 5.277 second run at 430 km/hrs, leaving Sando Bellio in Second place with a good 5.338 second run (5.558 minus 022 handi cap of funny car vs dragster). Only 0.06 of second between Lagg and Bellio and 0.045 between Bellio and Dennis Habermann.

Jimmy Ålund claims the First place in Pro Modified after running a 5.879 second run. After having some technical issue in Q1, Jimmy came back and take the first place in Q2. Davind Vegter from Hollands booked a stunning 5.920 second run Against Andreas Atursson who lost grip and gave up the race half way. David Vegter clames the number two spot and leave Jan Ericsson in third place with a 5.930 second run.

A new Personal best for Jean Dulamon. Jean ran a 6.060 in his Chevrolet Camaro and is coming close to break the 6 second barrier!
Double win for Jimmy Ålund as he claims the frist place in Pro Stock class as well. The Swedish driver booked a stunning 6.596 second run against Micheal Malmgren. Bengt Ljundahl makes and attempt for the number one spot but came just 0.004 short and is now in second place. Robin Norén is in third place with a 6.680 second run

Super Gas [9.90 index] is currently being dominated by Marcus Himmler In his ‘Chevy’ Bel Air with a close 9.950 second run against Ger Habermann. Ger claimes the number two spot with a 10.046 and Dutch driver Eddy van de Bos claimes the number three spot with a 10.058.

Vesa Ruhanen, currently leader in the championship made a stunning pass 6.953 at 348 km/hrs and claims the number one spot. Mathias Bohlin made and good attempt but came 0.045 second short (5.998 second at 331 km/hrs) and has to be satisfy with the number two spot. Third qualifier is for steve venebles with 7.023 second run.
